it is located in the heart of the lókehpíkek

it is known for the Khokhozi hotspot and supervolcano, which contains Pavala's largest geyser field, Khokhozi Geyser Field

partly due to the geological activity of the region, khokhozi was historically an influential center of uŋítheka religion
