History of Amalthea

before scabos were discovered in Idiba, the kiya (lapa) was the primary mount on pavala. they were good cuz they are birds. anyway, the amaltheans had a mongol moment and conquered a lot of nicho and even reached amaio for a bit. these were like tributaries of the empire of solea or something, but this happened a long time ago (again, mongol moment), before amaio basically did the opposite thing with their new biological technology (scabos)

communism/socialism was big here and developed out of a proto-communism

Hogo Rant's boat was headed to Amalthea to acquire old cyclone data when a storm in the Egun ocean blew him off course, causing him to land in the city of Satongañ. The local residents gave his crew plenty of fish and sugo, along with directions to the city with the cyclone data. This became known as Fish day and is celebrated in many parts of Unuvun.
