The Ganuoan language is the common name of the prestige Ganuoan language spoken in and around the capital region on Masiuna. Many people throughout the region speak it, often in addition to their local language (commonly known merely as local dialects). A short majority of people on Masiuna speak it as their native language, as well <<between 25% and 50%>> of Ekentans.
there are several creoles descending from ganuoan spoken around the world, often they are very different from ganuoan due to the pressures on creole languages to be analytic and ganuoan's high level of synthesis
it has a pitch accent system, a small number of consonants, and a high degree of allophony
has preserved (relatively) free syntax inherited from ancestral PRG
