Measurement of time

The Pavhaki wiki makes heavy use of its own system of time which must be understood in order to make sense of the history in this wiki. The core principles are as follows:

Years

  • A biennial is 2 Pavalan years, which are 0.51 Earth years each. A biennial is thus equivalent to 1.02 Earth years.
  • There are 168 local days per local year, and 336 local days in every biennial.

Months

  • Months are generally understood to mean periods of 30 days unless specified.

Weeks

  • Weeks are generally understood to mean periods of 6-8 days unless specified.
    • As defined by the Nautical Charter, a week is the basic division of time and is eight days long.

Days

  • A day is generally understood to mean the length of a Pavalan day, which is equivalent to 26.5 Earth hours.
